Los estudios clínicos sugieren un aumento de la mortalidad por todas las causas con complementos de vitamina E en dosis altas (> 400 UI/día). Las grandes dosis de vitamina E pueden incrementar la necesidad de vitamina K y causar hemorragia en pacientes que toman anticoagulantes orales.
